Mexar was set up in the United Kingdom in 2008 when the founders noticed a gap in the industrial inkjet market. Aqueous, functional pigmented inks were not being exploited to their full potential in areas such as textile printing and décor. Mexar was duly founded and the process of developing speciality aqueous inkjet inks was implemented, with Indie Ink being the shop front for the UK market.

Is it true you manufacture your own ink?
Yes! It is our promise to you that the vast majority of our IndieInk products are UK manufactured and created by our IndieInk production team. We have worked extremely hard on creating our bespoke ink formulas and will continue to develop and improve on future products. 

Where is your ink manufactured? 
The IndieInk factory is based in the North East of England. 

Why does your ink cost less than other suppliers? 
This is because we can produce our ink at manufacturer cost. Cutting out the expensive add-ons that dealers or large companies feel they can exploit. 

What is the environmental impact of IndieInk Products?
We use the safest chemicals we can to create the best ink formulation. Nearly all of our raw materials are sourced from the UK reducing our carbon footprint when it comes to shipping chemicals and raw materials. Our DTF Ink & hot melt powder is Okeo-Tex eco passport approved.

Do you ship outside of the UK?
Yes we export all over the world. Please note shipping time and costs will vary. Contact us for more information. 

What does GOTS stand for?
